The Hakko FR810B-05 SMD Hot Air Rework Station: A New Standard in Convective Rework
The Hakko FR-810B Hot Air Rework Station sets a new benchmark in convective rework. Boasting a compact and lightweight design (only 3.3 lbs.), this station features a quiet, self-contained turbine air supply capable of delivering up to 115 L/min. The new heating element design not only improves durability but also provides a top-end temperature of 1120°F (600°C), eliminating the need for a quartz glass insulator tube.
A standout feature of the FR-810B is its integrated vacuum pickup system, which includes a visual indicator for reflow. This allows the operator to visually confirm when the component has completely reflowed and can be safely lifted from the PCB, eliminating the risk of damaging the pads or leads.
Additionally, the station is compatible with the new N51 Series quick-change hot air nozzles for SMT components, specifically designed for use with the vacuum pickup system. These newly designed nozzles are compatible with the Hakko FR-810B and FR-810, as well as the older nozzles from the Hakko FR-810, FR-803B, FR-802, and FR-801 hot air stations.
The Hakko FR-810B offers several user-friendly features, including an easy-to-read digital display for both temperature and air level, a slender handpiece with an integrated start/stop button, and the ability to store up to 5 user-programmable presets for temperature, airflow, and time. The new Preset Chain feature allows the operator to link up to 5 presets to run in sequence, simulating a 5-heating zone reflow profile for SMD components.
Note: When using older Hakko N51 Series nozzles, please exercise caution, as some select nozzles may not be compatible with the vacuum pickup feature and could potentially cause damage to the unit if used improperly. Refer to Product Bulletin 380 (PB380) Change to N51 Series Nozzles and the FR-810B User Manual, section 4, for more information.
