Product Details: Our Heat-Set Insert Tips come in a range of sizes, including M2, M2.5, M3, M4, and M5 metric sizes, as well as #4, #6, #8, #10, and 1/4" English sizes. These tips are compatible with Hakko FX-888D and Weller SP40KNUS soldering irons, allowing for repeatable assembly and disassembly of 3D-printed and injection-molded parts.
Craftsmanship and Design: Our manufacturing process ensures a smooth and deburred finish, allowing the tips to reliably release from the heat-set inserts. After the lathe work, the tips undergo a thorough cleaning and are placed in wet and dry tumblers for up to 12 hours, resulting in an exceptionally smooth surface.
The Importance of Correct Sizing: It is crucial to pair the correct size of the tip with the size of the insert being used. If the tip is too small, the plastic can seep into the threads, making it challenging to screw the insert into the part.
